Is Presence for Sandbox use only? Can I use it in production?

Currently Presence is only suitable for sandbox use. Due to the critical role of user authentication in production systems, Presence is not yet suitable for production use. We are currently working on the product roadmap for Presence and will be building out the feature set and sharing regular updates.

Does Presence store biometric data?

Biometric data stays on the user's device at all times. Presence uses standards-based browser APIs to request that the user's device creates or fetches a secure public key, which only the user can authorise - normally through biometrics.

Is it secure?

Yes. Underpining the web standards that Presence is based on is Public Key Infrastructure supporting use of public keys between the user's device, browser, your application and Presence.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, it is possible to cancel your subscription at any time.

Does it work with Rails? React? Laravel?

Yes. Presence provides the Javascript toolkit and API that you can use to integrate with any web application. The Javascript library is compatible with assets pipelines and build processes to enable enable deeper integration.

How does it work?

A user registers their device for a specific web application through Presence. Through trust established between your application and Presence, the user can then be authenticated and logged in. How are payments taken?

All payments are handled securely by our industry-leading partner Stripe on a monthly basis, your account contains a list of all past invoices for your record.
